LOCATION: The reunion will be held at the Quality Hotel & Suites, located just a block from New York’s Niagara Falls Park and from the Seneca Casino it is centrally located a block from the Rainbow Bridge. The hotel is located at 240 Rainbow Blvd, Niagara Falls, NY 14303. Room rates are $69.00 a day/$80.00 for Saturday; plus tax. Breakfast is included. Reservations must be made by you, the member, by calling (877) 282-1212. Reservation rates are available from three days prior to the reunion until three days after. Tell the resort you are reserving rooms under "Navy Nuclear Weapons Association". Reservation cut-off date is September 1, 2007. Buffalo Niagara International Airport is served by all major airlines with connections to major cities across the country. The airport is approximately a 25-mile drive to the hotel. The ITA Shuttle running out of the airport is the recommended means of travel to the hotel (published rate is $30 per person each way). Rental cars are available in the airport. Average September temperatures for Niagara Falls is a comfortable High 72, Low 51. The hotel has a small open lot but validates for parking in the adjacent parking garage. For those not staying at the hotel, parking generally runs $5.00 for a full day at several lots (including the parking garage). For members with RVs who are staying at the hotel, the hotel has an open dry parking lot 3 blocks from the hotel. For RV-ers, there are several RV parks, if interested, let Ray Margeson know and he will assist with the arrangements. Tours and Events US/Canadian Adventure Tour - $73 per person (includes lunch).
The bus departs at 0900 and returns by 1500. The tour is conducted aboard clean comfortable air-conditioned motor coaches, with an onboard guide. Tour highlights to include: Goat Island with separates the American and Canadian Falls, Luna Island for an up close view of the American and Bridal Veil Falls, Prospect Park, the US Observation Tower, admission to the Maid of the Mist Boat, the beautiful Floral Clock, Table Rock for Superman’s view of the Horseshoe Falls, and enjoy a buffet lunch overlooking the falls at the Penthouse Restaurant. Lockport Locks and Buffalo Tour: - $77.00 per person (includes lunch).
Grand Lady Dinner Cruise $63,00 per person Limited booking – first 90 signups 1830 - 2030 Dinner Dance: $ 29 Per Person, which includes gratuity: Saturday September 22nd the dinner dance will be in the Hotel Ballroom from 1800- 2300. The social hour and picture taking will be from 1800-1900. Dinner will start at 1900 with music from the DJ beginning with dinner and continuing on until 2300. Door prizes will be drawn starting at 1830. Menu selections are: Entrees include Salad with Ranch and Italian Dressing, Green Beans Almandine Baked Potato with butter and sour cream, Rolls and Butter, Freshly Brewed Coffee, Tea, Decaf, or Milk. Any portraits taken will be ready to take with you before you leave. Check you reunion package for what is available in the way of photo packages. HOSPITALITY SUITE: The hospitality room will open at noon on Wednesday 19 September and will remain open until Sunday 23 September at 11:00 a.m. It will be closed for cleaning and locked at night after the last person leaves. The Hospitality Suite will be closed during the corporation meeting on Saturday and during the Saturday night dinner dance. NOTES TO REMEMBER: · We ask that each member and guest provide a gift from your specific areas ($5.00 to $10.00) to provide door prizes at the Dinner Dance. Only those who bring a gift will be eligible for a door prize. · Mail the completed registration form with a check payable to the "NNWA Treasurer" for the tours you have selected, your dues (if any), the $20 registration fee, and the cost of your selected Dinners.
