Charlie Lee Snodgrass, age 61, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 11, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. While Charlie had battled numerous
illnesses throughout his lifetime, his positive outlook, wickedly funny sense of humor, and strong faith sustained him and inspired and uplifted many around
him. Charlie simply loved spending time with others, and, whether he was telling stories, making music, playing games, or cracking jokes, he had a way of
making people just feel happier. He was a guitar-picking jokester and member of the Mannington Church of Christ.

Born on February 6, 1963 at Fairmont General Hospital, Charlie grew up and resided on “Snodgrass Hill” outside of Mannington, WV for most of his life.
He served in both the Army and the Navy, spent some time as a truck driver, and found his calling as a minister with the Church of Christ.

It is impossible to list all the people that will carry on Charlie’s memory – he loved and was loved by so many. In the traditional sense, he is survived by his
beloved wife, Ellen Louise Snodgrass; his daughter, Sharlie Cottrill, his stepdaughter Linda Turner, his stepson Michael (Beth) Thompson; his brother
Dwight (Mary) Snodgrass, his sisters Judy Lee Snodgrass Hughey and Beth (Michael) Thompson, and three grandchildren, Gavan Earle, Kaia Williams, and
Courtney Turner. In the slightly-less-than-traditional sense, he is also survived and memorialized by all the “kids” that will forever know him as “Uncle Pappy,”
including Eli (Katie) Thompson, Tanner (Olivia) Thompson, Jack (Olivia Allen) Thompson, Caroline (Jonathan) Benedum, Ellie Thompson, and Calder
Thompson. His memory also lives on with his sweet Aunt Helen, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family members, and oh-so-many friends.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ethel Snodgrass, and his brothers George and Daniel Snodgrass, as well as his grandparents and
numerous other dear family members.

Charlie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff members at both the Clarksburg and Pittsburgh VA medical centers, as well as personal
care-givers that have worked with him and his wife throughout the years. Charlie truly would have wanted every person saddened by his passing to have their
burdens lightened and spirits lifted. In the wise words of Winne-the-Pooh, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
