Navy Nuclear Weapons
Welcome to the Navy Nuclear Weapons Association Guest Book
Just found this website. Came across a couple of names of past shipmates. Maurice Gadbois, deceased, was my CPO; and Robert D Jackson, was one of my First Class PO when serving in W Division aboard the Kitty Hawk from 1967-1970. I ran across another ship-mate, Danny Goddard, in a diesel engine class at San Diego Community College many years ago. Seeing this website and reading about the weapons (don't forget the DST's we built during the 67/68 & 68/69 WestPac cruises ; and seeing the familiar names brings back lots of good memories.
Since leaving the Navy (GMT#) in 1970 I've been a auto/light truck/heavy truck/heavy equipment mechanic; a self employed timber faller/wildland fire fighter (hazard tree faller);community college support staff member and community college instructor for timber felling, hydraulics, and automotive topics. I recently retired and love my newest vocation(retirement). Was diagnosised with Multiple
Sclerosis in 1996 and have recently acquired my first grandson. Doing lots of fishing and hunting; and just enjoying life. Would be great to hear from any of my old shipmates. Hope everyone is doing well.
