OCTOBER 19TH THRU OCTOBER 23RD 2005
LOCATION: The reunion will be held at the Best Western Seven Seas Hotel. With its park like setting, the Best Western Seven Seas sits proudly on twelve beautiful landscaped acres and is centrally located on Hotel Circle in San Diego’s exciting Mission Valley. The hotel, located at 411 Hotel Circle South. Room rates are $75.00 a day); plus 10.5% CA. state tax. Reservations must be made by you, the member, by calling 1-800-328-1618 due by 9/23/05
Tell
the resort you are reserving rooms under "NNWA" Reservation cut-off
date is Sept. 23rd. San Diego International Airport is served by all major
airlines with connections to major cities across the country. The airport is
approximately a 5-mile drive to the Seven Seas. Hotel Shuttle service to/from
the airport is a free service; call Hotel upon arrival for service. If
exploration of San Diego is your desire, rental cars are available. Let me
know and I can prearrange the service through Avis Rental Cars Average October

DRIVING
AND RV-ING TO San Diego: Interstates
8, 15, and 5 ends in San Diego. Interstate 5 coming from the north, branches
off to Interstate 805, which takes you inland a little bit but will eventually
merge back into interstate 5 near the Mexican boarder. For RV-ers, there are
several RV parks, if interested, let Allen know and he will assist with the
arrangements.
Tours and Events
City Tour: $39.00 Per Person (includes lunch).
The bus departs at 0900 and returns by 1400. The tour is conducted aboard clean comfortable air-conditioned motor coaches, with a narrator on each bus, telling the people all about this fine city. The bus will travel to Coronado with a stop at the beachfront for a grand view of the blue Pacific, and Point Loma. The tour will also travel through, Balboa Park, the Gas lamp area, with its renovated late 1800 buildings. The tour will then travel to La Jolla to visit the Veterans Memorial high above Mount Soledad, and then a stop at Old Town, the site of the first Catholic Mission, with time to purchase postcards or souvenirs. Our luncheon will be at the beautiful Bali Hai restaurant, located on Shelter Island with a million dollar view, a delicious buffet, including dessert and coffee or iced tea
USS
Midway Tour:
$35.00 per person (includes lunch).
Tour the USS Midway stem to stern – a sure treat for one and all. Command at Sea / On the Roof: Ascend into the Island superstructure to experience firsthand what it was like to command a 75,000-ton aircraft carrier with a crew of 4,500 men. Visit the Navigation Bridge, the Captain's At-Sea Cabin, and the Chart House. Then get a taste of what it took to launch and recover aircraft on Midway's 4.02-acre flight deck, one of the most dangerous places on earth. See the aircraft catapult and recovery systems, as well as the Landing Signal Officers' Platform and the Fresnel lens. At noon, we will travel a short distance to Seaport Village for a deluxe box luncheon at picnic tables. There will be time to browse, take pictures, or buy postcards or souvenirs at the many one of a kind shop
Harbor Dinner Cruise: $ 54.00 per person
The bus departs at 18:30 and returns at approximately 22:30. The ship leaves the dock at 19:30; enjoy a complimentary glass of boarding champagne. The meal is served at your table, with a choice of steak, chicken, or Salmon. Also included with dinner are a pre dinner salad, coffee, and dessert. Later the group will enjoy music for dancing or listening, or go topside with friends or loved ones, and enjoy the view, and the city lights under the stars. The total cruising time is until 22:00. The ship stabilizers and the tranquil waters, create a very calm trip with no rocking, for those that might experience motion sickness. |

Dinner Dance: $ 25.00 Per Person, which include gratuity:
Saturday October 22 the dinner dance will be in the Hotel Ballroom
from 1700- 2300. The social hour and picture taking will be from 1700-1800.
Dinner will start at 1800 with the dance and music by One Accord after the
dinner. Door prizes will be drawn throughout the dance. Menu selections are:

NOTES
TO REMEMBER:
We
ask that each member and guest provide a gift from your specific areas
($5.00 to $10.00) to provide door prizes at the Dinner Dance. Only
those who bring a gift will be eligible for a door prize.
Mail the
completed registration form with a check payable to the "NNWA
Treasurer" for the tours you have selected, your dues (if any), the
$20 registration fee, and the cost of your selected Dinners.
Remember
the registration Form with check must be received prior to August 15, 2005.
Don't forget to make your Hotel Reservations prior to September 23, 2005 by calling (800)328-1618 and telling them you are part of the NNWA reunion.
