I know this is a longshot, but does anyone know the whereabouts of Herbert Manley? I was stationed with him at NAVMAG Guam from November 1960-May of 1962. He got out after his first term and I have never heard from him since.

Noted the passing of CWO2 Smith. Ray Margeson and I were stationed with him in Guam. I made chief because of his advice! I had been a first class for over ten years..always passing the exam when he suggested I write D,C, for a copy of my service record, I did and discovered 42 pages missing! I updated the record and made chief the next exam. Ray Margeson pinned on my anchors...proudest day of my 30 year career! May CWO2 Smith rest in peace.

Hi! I am a consultant to the Fish and Wildlife service and am writing a Cold War history of Midway, Sand Island in particular. I am hoping some of the AUW Shop Unit 0402 might be able to share some information about the unit at Midway. Our focus is on the buildings and ordinance handling pad. Our goal is to not use or create and classified information in the process of creating this report. Please email me if you have any stories you can tell or photos of buildings you might share. Thank you in advance for any help you might provide! Karen

Greetings Shipmates
I appreciate your Association, and have a question regarding application. I had the NWL training for A-7E ops at NAS Lemoore (COMDFAIR LEMOORE) in 1972. It is listed on my DD214. Should I include a copy with the application? Thanks much, -R-

Great to see a lot of shipmates on the site but there are so many others that aren't. Retired from USN in '84 and Los Alamos in '97 and returned home to rural Michigan to live out my days in the Lord and fly fishing. Look forward to seeing a lot of you at a future reunion.
