Served with Bob Berger on the Ranger. Wish I could tell you where he is. I do remember he married a girl from San Francisco.

Anybody know what happened to Charley Gilbert GMT-2 who was on the USS Kitty Hawk, 1-62 to around 1964? Also looking for Bob Berger who was GMT-2 on the USS Ranger, about the same time.

David Swift - I am pretty sure that is the same RO King (4.0 RO). I retired from Earle in 1986 and Bob was there - as a civilian!!!

Hello Pat: Thank you for reading my book. It was my goal to honor the sacrifice, and dedication of the Keepers of the Dragon, who in my opinion saved our nation from nuclear war. It took 12 years to write, and as you may have noticed was made possible because my mother kept all the letters I wrote to her over my 30 year career. I'm not able to attend the reunion this year much to my regret, as my mother passed away in February, and I'm caring for my 95 year old father who is suffering with dementia. Next year I hope to be in New Mexico, and if you wish I'll gladly sign your book, thanks again for taking the time to read it...Warm Regards: Jim Little

addressed primarily to those of you out there who are browsing this on the web site. You probably found this site by looking up Nuclear Weapons, Navy Nuclear Weapons or anyone of a myriad of searches. In all probability you were in the Navy and a member of the Program. This is YOUR organization and we need you to join it. We need input from all people who meet our qualification standards, see web site home page. Everyone has some input so we so we can build a documented history of the Program and are not just some information in a dusty box on a shelf somewhere that will blow away once we are all gone. We are the Program and we are alive and well. BUT we need new blood! Yes most of us were lifers but we have several members who served one or two enlistments. Join up and come to one of our annual reunions I guarantee you will have a good time. Bring your wife, H--- bring your whole family let them learn what you did in the Navy by talking with people you probably served with. Come tell your old, really old by now, Division Officer, Chief or PO you worked for what you really thought of them, don’t be surprised at feed back. I’ve met people I went to A school with, plus many I served with. We even have members who were in the Program before there was a Program. Show them some of the weapons you work on with our model mock-ups. Talk about liberty in Subic, Naples, Hong Kong or anywhere else you went, not when you wife is around however. We are your brothers, family. Come meet the in-laws or in our case the out-laws. In case you haven’t looked at the rest of the site review our reunion page. We are going home in 2011, Albuquer

A great reunion in Bremerton. John and Beth Gray did a super job. Thanks to all who got a copy of my book. It was a pleasure to get the book into the hands of those who made the stories possible. It was a joy to run across Jim Smith. We were in NW class 73, and had not seen each other for 47 years! Thanks to George and Anita, John and Wanda, Bill and Nina, Ray and Mary, and all the NNWA Shipmates...loking forward to Dallas.

Lonnie, I sat next to you at the banquet and it sounds like you already have a good plan. This was my first reunion and we sure enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. It was sure nice to have an old shipmate, Jim Smith and his wife Mary to stay with and tour the area. We are looking forward to Dallas next year.
Thanks to John Gray for his efforts at making this one a success.

Sorry we have not made the last two reunions. This year we are right in the middle of building a house on our 40 acres of land in southern Alabama. We are planning on making the Dallas 2009 reunion if at all possible. We have a year to do the planning. Hope to see many old shipmates at that time. All the best.
